2008 Shingleback Cellar Door Sangiovese Grenache Rosé

"Two seemingly different grape varieties stripped of their skins and married up with considerable style. Charming, fragrant red Grenache fruits and supple texture are given an assertive savoury edge with Sangiovese having the final say. Nice all-round appeal. 89 pts."                                                           Nick Stock, Wine 100, August 2009

Tasting Note

Brilliant pomegranate red. Lifted, perfumed aromas of rose petals and summer berries along with mouthfilling flavours of raspberries and citrus. Sangiovese and Grenache varieties are selected for their bright, fresh flavours, which are enhanced by the winemaking techniques to produce this complex, layered wine. The hint of residual sweetness is balanced by a fresh acidity. Enjoy this fun Rosé chilled and in its youth.
